Tribute acts concert in Swansea's Singleton Park
A LIVE concert in a Swansea park will pay tribute to Britain's best bands.
Some of the biggest songs of the last 20 years are being performed at Singleton Park at the end of the month.
Back for Good, Never Forget and Dakota are among the tracks that will feature when two of the UK's leading Take That and Stereophonics tribute acts take to the stage at the park on Sunday, June 30.
The Monophonics and Take That 2 form part of the line-up for Swansea Council's Live at Singleton Park event that will also feature a variety of local bands.
However, a headline act is yet to be announced.
The Fevers, Soul Jam and Like a Lion are among the local groups to have already been confirmed.
A big top marquee is being set up just for the day to accommodate the bands and the crowds.
It is part of the Swansea Bay Festival which takes place throughout the summer months.
Nick Bradley, Swansea Council's cabinet member for regeneration, said: "Singleton Park has a great tradition in hosting live music events and what's being planned for the end of the month will be another terrific occasion.
"This is one of many events forming part of the Swansea Bay Festival that will appeal to people of all ages and help attract visitors into our city."
Other events in the festival calendar include the Wales National Airshow which returns to Swansea for the third time on Saturday, July 13, and Sunday, July 14.
And following on from the popularity of the ice rink at the Waterfront Winterland, a roller rink will take centre stage outside the National Waterfront Museum.
Summer Roller will be at Museum Park from August 14 to August 27.
Mr Bradley added: "People really do have a lot to look forward to over coming months with events like the Wales National Air Show and Summer Roller being held here too."
