MORRISTON and near neighbours Trebanos produced a cracking advert for division three south west.

Leaders Trebanos maintained their 100 per cent record with a 25-17 win but had a last-minute try by wing Matthew Edwards to thank for securing a bonus point.

Fellow wing Ross Jones scored two tries for the visitors and fly-half Nick Damjanovic also crossed. Damjanovic kicked one conversion, and centre Rhodri Thomas landed a penalty.

For fourth-placed Morriston, lock Steve Evans and full-back Rhodri Jones crossed for tries and centre Shaun Jones converted both and kicked a penalty.

Neath Athletic won 34-0 at home to Vardre after leading just 10-0 at half-time.

They scored six tries through wing Luke Wright, No. 8 Paul Jones, a penalty try awarded for a scrum-five offence, flanker Ian Thomas (2) and full-back James Davies.

Fly-half Craig Gorman converted two of them.

Tenth-placed Brynaman closed the gap on the side immediately above them, Resolven, to two points — and they have two games in hand on the Neath Valley side — thanks to a 24-18 win in Resolven.

Scrum-half Richard Morgan and flanker Matthew Evans scored Resolven's tries and fly-half Steffan Williams added a conversion and two penalties.

Bottom club Aberavon Green Stars lost 33-9 at home to Maesteg Celtic, their points coming from two penalties by No. 8 Keirion Mattocks and one by full-back Christopher Roberts.

Bryncoch also went down at home, 35-21 to Pencoed, who have overtaken them as a result.

Bryncoch scored three tries through flanker Neil Wingrave, lock Keri Evans and prop Danny John. Fly-half Craig Thomas converted all three of them.
