GOAT'S milk ice-cream, long horn beef and other exotic treats are on the menu at the annual Neath Food and Drink Festival.

The nosh-up and foodie rendezvous sees producers, growers, chefs and eaters gather in the market town tomorrow and Saturday.

There will be lots going on including cookery demonstrations, children's activities, produce shows, live music and community projects.

While restaurants, cafes, hotels and bars will host food and drink themed events during the festival, with happenings in Victoria Gardens and fitness demonstrations in Angel Square too. Organiser Ian Hindle says he is always pleased to see the groundswell of enthusiasm that the festival taps into each year.

"When you speak to the producers, the first thing that comes across is their passion and knowledge of the producers.

"Whether it is goats milk ice cream, samosas or sea food, long horn beef or apple juice, everything has been made by people who care passionately about the quality and process of the things they make. By supporting these producers not only are you getting the freshest tasty offerings, you are also helping to support businesses in your local community."

Sian Hindle, from La Creme Patisserie, will be on hand at St. David's Church on Saturday, with recipes and techniques.
