Train station in Swansea wins award at Keep Wales Tidy Awards
SWANSEA'S train station has been voted Wales's Best Kept Staffed Station at the 2012 Keep Wales Tidy Awards.
The annual Tidy Wales Awards recognise people from every corner of Wales who, come rain or shine, make real and lasting efforts to make their local area a better place to live.
Held at the Pierhead Building in Cardiff Bay, finalists were presented with their trophies by the Minister for the Environment and Sustainable Development, John Griffiths.
The ceremony was hosted by former Wales international rugby player Tom Shanklin.

A public website vote was held during the winter of 2012/13 to nominate the shortlisted stations for both the staffed and unstaffed stations categories of the awards.
Speaking at the ceremony, station manager for Swansea Jez Williams said: "We're thrilled to win the award as it is testament to the hard work of all the staff who help keep the station clean and tidy.
"They'll be delighted, especially following the two prestigious international awards won in 2012 and the recent investment in improving facilities at the station."
In 2012, the station won the International Station of the Year and Best Large Station at the International Station Awards.
The station was reopened in June 2012 following a £7.6 million refurbishment, which delivered new, modern facilities and a brighter, welcoming environment for passengers.
