Traders bid for festive bonanza
SUMMER may have come to an end — but business leaders are already looking ahead to a Christmas extravaganza which could put thousands of pounds into Carmarthen's coffers.
A winter wonderland similar to successful ones in Swansea and Cardiff could be on its way after the idea was raised by traders.
Members of the Carmarthen Town Strategy Group hope to stage the event for up to two months.
It is hoped to follow Swansea's Waterfront Winterland success, which sees the attraction plough around £7 million into the city's economy every year.
