THE Vale of Clettwr Hunt stages the first Point to Point of the West Wales season this Saturday.

With the hunt still looking for a new course in its own county after the closure of its Pencader track, Erw Lon, the Tivyside Hunt and landowners, Mr and Mrs Alan Bowen, have agreed to allow the hunt to stage this year's meeting at Cilwendeg, near Boncath.

The members' race starts the meeting at noon.

Children under 16 are admitted free to the meeting when accompanied by an adult, with caterers and refreshments available on course along with bookmakers.

The next meeting is at Cilwendeg on March 11, starting at noon.

The South Pembrokeshire Hunt at Lydstep is on Easter Monday (1pm), with the West Wales Area Club meeting also at Lydstep on April 15.

The Banwen Miners Hunt takes place on May 7, with the first race at 1.30pm.
