Town's name was too much
I WONDER how many of your readers will agree with me that until Wednesday the Assembly election had been rather lacklustre.
That is until Labour leader Mr Miliband came to Llanelli and in an instant we had a ''John Redwood'' moment.
-

I'm sure those who were watching the event on the news will have noticed how when talking to one lady, he suddenly stopped referring to "Llanelli" and changed it to "your town".
The pronunciation of this old, illustrious town's name was obviously too much for him.
Nia Griffiths needs to do a better job of reminding him of where she comes from.
Still to be fair, he did highlight the Tory/Liberal cuts agenda, but sadly he forgot to mention the cuts imposed on Llanelli people by the Labour/Independent county council, the situation was made more farcical by the sight of Labour cabinet members clutching vote Labour posters behind him.
Better luck next time Mr Miliband.
I suspect your one and only visit as the Labour leader will soon be forgotten, but thanks for bringing a smile to my face for a fleeting moment.

“You will find that most peope do as Ed Miliband did. Even in written reports, writers name the place at the beginning and from then onwards refer to "the/your town", "the/your city" "the/your region" etc.”
