Town goes medieval
PEOPLE attending the Merlin Festival in Carmarthen this weekend have a chance to step back in time.
The festival, on Saturday, celebrates the legend and lore of Carmarthenshire's ancient links with possibly the world's most famous wizard.
The medieval-themed town centre event will see jolly jousters, juggling jesters and live performances transform the town's streets into colourful seas of bunting and costume.
The festivities in Guildhall Square, with activities in Nott Square, Merlin's Walk and St Catherine's Walk, include a wizard's academy, Arthurian-themed stilt walkers, storytelling, Welsh folk music and arts and craft workshops.
