Tourists rescued from Loughor Estuary this evening.
THREE tourists from Germany and Austria were rescued this evening after getting into trouble on Loughor Estuary.
Swansea Coastguard recevied a call from a concerned member of the public at around 6.30pm, saying the three women had been caught out by the tide.
The Loughor Indepdendent Rescue Boat and the Loughor Coastguard team were sent to the scene and the women were quickly picked up.
A spokesman for the Coastguard said: "They were staying in a B and B in Lloughor itself and had gone out for a walk, it was lovely earlier on and they were caught out.

"They were quite lucky, there were no injuries and no one needed medical attention. They were just a bit disoreinatated. The boys explained to them that it can be quite dangerous with the flooding tide."
