'Tories will protect key front-line jobs'
TORY candidate Rene Kinzett said his party will fight to protect front-line public service jobs — despite Conservative plans to cut spending.
The Tory candidate also said he was confident that he could turn a third-place finish for his party in 2005 into victory on May 6.
Councillor Kinzett rubbished Lib Dem claims that they were the only party that could beat Labour in Swansea West.
He said: "People know there can only be two choices in a General Election.
"There can either be a Conservative-led government, or a Labour-led government.
"The people want Gordon Brown out. If we want to get rid of Labour in both Swansea West and Westminster, people need to vote Conservative."
Councillor Kinzett said Labour was tied too closely to the unions to tackle the deficit by reducing the public sector headcount.
He said: "Sometimes the Labour party put the interests of their own members before national interests.
"The unions will say 'lets protect public sector jobs'.
"Swansea is reliant — over reliant — on public sector jobs. It is going to be the job of the Assembly and the Westminster Government to bring more quality jobs to Wales. What the Conservatives want to do is protect the most vital, front-line jobs."
Councillor Kinzett pointed to the current education crisis in Swansea, which will see more than 100 teachers lose their jobs this year. He added: "We want to protect those jobs and protect the NHS."
Councillor Kinzett hopes to leapfrog his former party to catch Labour in Swansea West — having been the Lib Dem candidate in 2005.
He said: "Every election you start with a blank page. You don't ever start with the premise that people are going to vote the same way as last time.
"I have been a councillor in Swansea West since 2004. I have represented Swansea on the Police Authority in the past. I hope that having stood for the seat and getting a much higher vote (than the Liberal Democrats had before), and with the positive message of change, people will vote Tory."

“The Tories are the Party of the Flip Flops! They Flip from one Party policy to another, which are bound to be, if implemented, Top of the Flops!
Kinzet himself has maligned the older generation in the recent past, has been ineffective in oppostion in Swansea and chooses to spend more time out of Swansea than in it! The Swansea West electorate, wants an MP that cares about them, will work for them and put them first! Kinzett fails to tick the boxes on all three counts!”

“there are plenty of £100k+ salalries in the public sector, amazingly LOADS of salaries over and above the PMs because you have to pay the best (The BBC used that excuse with jonathan ross) the other excuse is "for the responsibility" - WHAT? more than sending young men and women to die? -
Also lets NOT forget pensions costs for those that still retire at 55 , bonuses apparently for failure and for "success" - success usually measns fiddling score cards
and lets notmiss out the many communication directors - (SPIN doctors) aka professionqal liars , health and safety, race, sexual health, green and diversity experts
Now IF we could only get rid of these scroungers - we would all be richer with decent schools, NHS, roads as good as europe and our soldiers would have some kit”

“The scorpion and The fox yes.
A scorpian wanted to cross a river. However the current was to strong and he could not swim. He saw a fox and asked can you take me across on you're back? The fox said no as you may sting me and kill me! The scorpion answered no I wont I promise. The fox allowed the scorpian to klime on his back, half way accross the scorpion stung the fox, the fox asked ehy did you do that? now we shall both die! The scorpion answered it is in my nature.”

“All the parties claim to do this. However the Tories have always shown a distinct lack of NOT following up on promises. They made the hospitals in to trusts,to be run by managers who do not have a clue.
We are made dependent on public sector jobs. Mainly because they are not for profit and the private sector does not want to work where it does not make a profit.
care homes employ people on low wages as they know there are people who genuinely care about people and are hens exploitable on low wages, A conservative government will open the doors to low wages
and low care. If you cant go private you may as well die now.”
