Tobias Webb has eyes on Welsh title glory
TOBIAS Webb has been told to unlock the door to bigger things by disposing of Lewis Patterson in tonight's Welsh super-middleweight title bout at Oceana nightclub in Swansea.
Webb has taken spent close on four years to climb to 11th in the British rankings, but a Welsh title triumph would position him nicely for a major step up in the months ahead.
"Boxing is all about opportunity and it is up to Tobias to take this one and then see what it brings," said his manager and promoter Paul Boyce.
"Ideally, we could be looking at a British title fight for him within 12 months.

"He could get a shot in six months — who knows? This sport can throw up chances when you least expect them and you just have to make sure you are in a position to take them.
"The likeliest scenario is that we will aim at a Celtic title, but we are not getting ahead of ourselves and Tobias has a job to do against Lewis Patterson this evening."
Patterson's camp have made it clear that their man is not coming across from Cardiff for the ride, with his trainer Tony Richards stressing the former kickboxer has ambitions himself.
But Boyce reckons the clash will be decided by Webb's greater experience.
"Tobias has boxing in his blood and has been a professional a number of years and fought some very good fighters," said Boyce.
"In a title situation, those kinds of things count."
