The open-top bus parade will kick-off from outside the Dragon Hotel at 4.30pm and finish with a civic reception in the city's Guildhall later.

Lord Mayor of Swansea, Councillor Dennis James, said that after such an amazing result against Bradford today, the people of Swansea would turn out in their thousands to welcome the victorious team home.

"This is a fantastic moment for the Swans and for Swansea as a whole," he said.

"After their promotion to the Premier League, today's events open a new chapter in a remarkable success story for our city's football team.

"I'm sure thousands of fans will want to line the route and be part of an event that will be remembered for years to come."

From its starting point in The Kingsway the bus will make its way towards West Way. It will then move along St Helen's Road to Guildhall.

Fans will be able to line the route to welcome Michael Laudrup and the team back to Swansea.

There will be road closures along the route on a rolling basis so roads can be re-opened as soon as the procession has passed, to minimise inconvenience to residents and traffic.

Stewards will be on hand to marshall fans and ensure their safety during the procession. St John's Ambulance first aiders will also be in attendance.

“I told my boys not to bother getting an education or trying to further themselves in life. Just keep kicking a football at a wall until someone spots you. You could work in the NHS for the next 30 years and you will not get noticed. I for one will never pay for a ticket or support football in any form. I am sorry if this upsets some people but its not a religion its just football, so get a grip.”

“Thanks for clearing that up Chelsea, it wasn't simple enough the first time.

We do have a young child and jobs thank you and incidentally, my husband and i are both shift workers and will be making the parade today as it is our time off. We do, however, miss a lot of events in Swansea that get arranged for weekends due to our work but that's the life that we accept. You can't please all the people all of the time, only some of the people some of the time.”

“Why isnt it going from the Liberty ? That would give more fans chance to see the parade and not clog up the City ,and it should be later than 4.30pm to give people chance to get home from work.”

“Some of these comments are pathetic. It`s obvious that alot people won`t get the option to see the Swans Parade but like me they were thrilled and proud to see the game on the TV. If you really want to make a contrubution to the Swans success story then go into the Swans shop and purchase something to help their finances! As far as the game went this Swans team has to be one of the finest to put on the Swans shirt. They were brilliant and their passing game is the best in the Premiership! Well done Swansea City and well done Michael Laudrup.”

“Twinkle just thinking of the workers and school kids that cannot make it, seems as if you did not read my quote the way it was put out, make it simple for you THE TIME IS JUST NOT SUITABLE FOR MOST (NOT ALL), you state it is the council , then you say go and give suitable times to Huw (we call him Jenkins), SO WHO IS TO BLAME?, surely the board would have discussed this with the council beforehand, maybe if you had a job or kids you would understand”

“Chelsea1955 - i was only stating that it was the council who arranged this. I'm not saying tomorrow at 4.30 is ideal, but that's what it is and many will be there, many won't. Maybe you can pop down the stadium yourself and put your suitable parade times to Huw himself next time hey?

Sheessssshhh. You sound like you need to relax a bit.”
