Telephone meter theft case in court
TWO men have appeared in court facing three charges each, including one of stealing money from a telephone meter.
Shaun Raymond Flanighan, aged 43, of Spruce Avenue and Sean Michael Prothero, aged 23, of Neptune Road, both in Bordon in Hampshire both appeared at Swansea Magistrates' Court.
They are each charged with stealing money from a telephone box meter belonging to BT, going equipped for theft, in that they are alleged to have had with them power tools for use in connection with theft of telephone meters and a third charge of acquiring criminal property, namely £1,301.50.
The offences are alleged to have taken place in Elgin Street in Manselton on May 17.
The pair were given conditional bail.
They were told their next appearance would be at Swansea Crown Court on August 23.
