A LIFEBOAT rescue team have reminded young anglers to check tide times following the rescue of three teens.

Loughor Inshore Rescue were called out after the youths, two males and one female, were cut off by the rising tide, a mile up river of the station.

Crew member Carl Matthews, 30, said the trio were returned to dry land and met by Loughor coastguards.

"We would remind anyone going fishing in the estuary to make sure they know the times of the tide coming in and out," added Mr Matthews.
