Teen admits damage to wall
AN 18-year-old caused criminal damage to property belonging to a St Clears supported housing association after being told to vacate.
Kieren James Beard, of Priory Street, Carmarthen, pleaded guilty to two counts of criminal damage to a partition wall and a desk belonging to Hafod Care in St Clears on March 5, 2013.
Sian Vaughan, prosecution, said: "Mr Beard was in supported housing in relation to this property."
Ms Vaughan said Beard was told he was going to have to vacate the property when the offence of criminal damage occurred.
"He took issue with the way he was being spoken to at that point," she said.
In mitigation, Andrew Isaac said: "Things have moved along since then. He is now in a hostel in Carmarthen."
Mr Isaac added: "He has been in the care system for quite some time where there he had problems with behaviour and he wishes to apologise for this unreservedly.
"Things came to a head when he could not reside there any longer."
Beard was ordered to pay £130 compensation and £85 costs.
