Teacher's blunt Twitter warning to girls who slap on foundation at Olchfa School, Swansea
IF you’ve been watching Educating Yorkshire on Channel 4, this tweet by a teacher at Olchfa School in Swansea will strike a chord.
Almost every week in the tv series viewers see some child’s thickly foundationed face being stripped of its orange glow by a teacher with a wet wipe.
It is a problem for schools across the country as pupils flout rules on make-up, rather than risk exposing their true complexion to their friends.
And it seems that Robert Williams, a head of year at Olchfa in Sketty, was expecting problems there.
His tweeted picture shows a mound of facial wipes, nail varnish remover and cotton wool, in preparation for the school year.
In the tweet @theheadofyear says: “Year10 and 11...I am ready for you.”
Clearly he is. You have been warned year 10 and 11 girls!
