Talent show heartthrob's Swansea club gig
SWANSEA is fast becoming the unofficial home of the X Factor after party.
Just days after it was announced that infamous identical twins Jedward are to play the city, another talent show contestant is also on his way.
Teenage heartthrob Lloyd Daniels will perform a gig in Swansea later this month.
The announcement comes just a day after the young star was booted off the X Factor.
He follows in the footsteps of JLS, Lucie Jones and Diana Vickers as former contestants of the ITV show who all went on to tread the dancefloors of Swansea.
Lloyd will appear at Play nightclub, Salubrious Place on December 16.
"It is great that we have him here," said Play manager Jules Sinclair- Simon.
"He's a Welsh boy who's done really well so it will be nice to welcome him home.
"We are really excited to have Lloyd here and hopefully it will prove to be a very successful night."
The 16 year old from Treharris is too young to frequent the bars of Wind Street.
But an X Factor pre-gig party will take place in the Idols bar from 8pm.
Advanced tickets for Lloyd's performance are available from the club for £5.
Meanwhile the city is already set to be awash with Jedward mania on Monday when the X Factor twins perform.
Double act Edward and John Grimes are set to play to thousands of fans at Oceana on The Kingsway on Monday.
They remain one of the most popular acts from this year's X Factor, with industry experts claiming the twins could rake in up to £1 million.
The gig is being held on Oceana's final student night of the year.
Play manager Jules Sinclair-Simon added: "It has proved a nightmare to book these acts this year so we are really happy to have Lloyd.
"And we hope to announce more big guests in the future."

“hohoho James you are talking out of your backside as usual. And just who is Heather?
Oh many apologies I didn't realise you were the King of Swansea James, neither did I realise that "she" is yours! Silly me.”

“Re:Medusa, Swansea
Swansea is the place to be! The likes of Lloyd who are X Factor standard are welcome here, those who are 'X-rated', like you, Medusa/Heather, are not welcome here, especially as you continue to down our city!”

“Oh My GOD...why are they all singing in Swansea clubs? Are they that cheap? Makes me feel a bit sick. I'd like to see Lloyd aim much higher than this.”
