A TIDY OBJECTIVE
GOWER Society chairman Malcolm Ridge (pictured) said the best kept village competition was all about general upkeep and tidiness rather than how to put on a display.
Ilston and Penrice were runners-up to Reynoldston.
"One thing that particularly pleased us generally was the lack of litter, although we didn't go down to the beach at Rhossili or Port Eynon, where you can get some," said Mr Ridge. "That was very positive."
Reynoldston won Gower Best Kept Village in 1973.
Its 2013 victory has earned it £500 and a plaque.
