'TEAMWORK HELPED US WIN TOP PRIZE'
AWARD-WINNING Bara Brith is being sold on a market stall in Carmarthen.
Cerdin Foods, run by Ray and Elizabeth Wynne, is a stall that has been at Carmarthen for over 10 years and it's Bara Brith has recently been awarded Gold in the Great Taste Awards 2013.
They previously won in 2009 and they are delighted to have won again when they re-entered this year after having a break from the competition.
Using her mum's traditional recipe, Elizabeth's Bara Brith beat thousands of other baked goods and even won the best regional product in the UK back in 2009 — the first time ever that Bara Brith had won this category.
Elizabeth, who has been a baker since she was aged just 16, believes the reason that they have won the prize again is teamwork.
"I bake the food and Ray packs it and works on the stall during the week.
"It's teamwork that has helped us to win this prize!"
Cerdin Food Stalls can be found in Carmarthen every Friday.
