    “@NeathPTboy

I know, just wanted to emphasize your point.

    Re. your link :

Did you know or have you heard that "SolarWorld", Germany's largest provider of solar panels and looked upon as a world leader in the field of renewables is on the brink of collapse or at least in very big trouble?

    http://tinyurl.com/b8kqj2l

They went so megalomaniac that in 2008 they tried to buy Opel (German Vauxhall) off GM. Now their shares have lost 30% of their value and the company might even go into administration.
Hello? Not such a successful enterprise?

Quite honestly, I am not surprised. We Germans are open to environmental issues and everything to go with it. BUT what is going on, thanks to Merkel and her crazy lot, is more than any population can shoulder.
As I say: beware the beginnings!

In the 70's the BFBS broadcasting used to have an ad "stay alert, stay alive!" for their soldiers and families.

    I totally agree:

    Stay alert, stay alive!”

It was meant as a sarcastic 'strange eh', I am as aware as you are about what the agenda with renewable energy is.”

    “@ NeathPTboy

    Strange?
    You think so?
    I don't.
It's the same story time and time again. It's about lobbying, money making, international industries getting involved in politics and so forth and so on.

In the 80's a song writer(Klaus Lage, great stuff!) had a big hit called "Monopoly"(like the board game).
One of the lines in the song went like "Wir sind nur die Randfiguren in einem schlechten Spiel" - We are just the marginal figures in a bad game. Actually, I 'd use stronger words like consumers are just the collateral damage in a filthy gamble or smutty joke.”

Neathboy234 doesn't like rugby or any sport because all forms of physical excercise cause the players to breath more heavily thus expelling far more CO2 than is necessary and harming the planet......crazy fool......I wish he'd stop expelling CO2 once and for all.....although it's mostly excrement that pours from his mouth.

It's so blatantly obvious that wind energy is a money making scam that I can't understand why the minority who support it still do. Unfortunately the minority that do support it are the ones on planning committees and in government........strange eh!”

“I've just found an interview with Peter Altmaier, the German minister for environmental affairs, and "Bild-Zeitung"-equivalent to "the Sun".

In this interview he explains why prices for energy on the stock market and international exchanges are going down but bills for German customers keep going up and up and up....

    http://tinyurl.com/artv5hk

The madness in this whole story is that the lower energy prices get the more money goes to the government. This is called "Öko-Umlage", basically eco-contribution, i.e. (stealth)tax tax tax.

The charge for energy will either stay the same or go up, but the revenue will be distributed in a different way:
More for Merkle and Co., less for the energy providers.

Interesting, isn't it? Prices going down, hence VAT(Mwst) revenue going down, but still the tax man will get more and more.

    Mind my words:
This is what will happen over here as well!”

    “Neathboy 234, ref your statement-

( "It should also be remember that pumped storage also plays an increasing part in our energy supply, providing around 1% of total." )

Again you show your complete lack of understanding of power generation/ transmission.

Pumped storage doesn't provide ANY of our energy supply, the clue is in the name 'pumped storage', it stores 'excess energy' & returns about 70% (30% losses), to cover peak demands while other generators are ramped up.

Stick to commenting on rugby, although no doubt you probably get that wrong as well !!”

“Even the founding father of the 'green movement' is speaking out against useless wind turbines now, these greenies remind me of headless chickens....the only difference is a headless chicken has more sense.

“Don't repeat the mistakes that have been made in Germany!!!
If you think, energy bills are high over here, believe you me: they are sky high in Germany.
Unlike over here, the problem in Germany are NOT greedy energy providers but a government that has gone completely bonkers over "renewable energy".

I have lived near some of these wind turbines. Never again!

They are noisy on a level that is close to torture. Not so much in decibel but in the quality of the noise they make. And avoid living BEHIND them, their shadows can drive you mad.

They are inefficient and a mere vanity project for politicians who want to get their names into the book of the good, the caring and the wise....all of which they are not.
It's a gimmick. No more than that.

If you have a chance to oppose, do so!!!!!”

“!0.9% of energy currently being produced is by wind power at the moment. Also of some interest oil prices have risen to $116.66/B, the highest since May last year. Expect the price of petrol to go up within next few weeks.”
