Swansea v Cardiff Premiership clash postponed
SWANSEA'S Premiership match at home to Cardiff on Saturday has been postponed due to heavy rain.
The St Helen's pitch, which is owned by Swansea Council, was deemed to be in danger of "long-term damage" had the game gone ahead.
A Swansea club statement read: "Following discussions with Council representatives with regards to the long-term damage that could be caused to the playing surface at St Helens given the recent levels of rainfall, it has been decided that the home game against Cardiff RFC on Saturday January 5 is to be postponed."
A date has yet to be set for a re-arranged fixture.
