TWO Swansea schools have been closed or partly-closed today due to poor weather conditions.

Townhill Community School is closed completely, while Dylan Thomas School reopened at 11am for year 11 students only.

Swansea Council has dispatched "hand gritters" to areas including Townhill, Hendrefoilan and Tycoch to help make them more passable.

Gritters were also out last night. Meanwhile Swansea's rubbish and recycling collections will be a day late this week.
