Swansea school to shut for rest of week
BLAENYMAES Primary School will remain closed for the rest of the week as work continues to restore heating after the school boiler room flooded. The school now plans to reopen on Monday, November 12.
Today and tomorrow will be taken as INSET days, reducing the number of these training days the school was planning to close for later in the school year.
If the situation changes parents will be informed.

“Here here, such wimps nowadays.
I remember we wore our coats, hats & gloves in class & blackboard paint being passed around to paint the underside of our desktops, to use as blackboards, as we wore woollen gloves in those days too slippery to hold pens. Also it was illegal for boys to wear long trousers until age 14 so we had blue knees :-(”

“I went to this school and I remember when the boiler broke down we were just made to put our coats on and get on with our lessons. Thank you Mr Edwards.”
