Swansea couple airlifted to hospital after crash involving one-year-old boy
A MAN and woman from the Swansea area had to be airlifted to hospital after being involved in a head-on smash.
A 61-year-old, who was travelling with a 58-year-old woman and one-year-old boy, is said to be in a critical but stable condition following the smash near Monmouth on Tuesday afternoon.
Meanwhile, the woman is said to be in a stable condition and the youngster was uninjured in the accident.
The couple are being treated at Bristol's Frenchay Hospital.
They were in a Fiesta which was in collision with a light goods vehicle on the A4136, Staunton
Road.
Gwent Police have arrested a 38-year-old Romanian national on suspicion of dangerous driving.
He remains in custody.
