Swansea councillors to run the rule on former non-comformist Gower chapel
PLANS to convert a non-conformist chapel in Gower into holiday accommodation come under the spotlight today.
Swansea councillors are set to determine the application to revamp the derelict former chapel at Cilonen Fach Farm, Cilonen, near Three Crosses, at a committee meeting. The matter has twice been deferred.
The proposed conversion includes the replacement of the roof, a new single-storey rear extension, new roof to existing porch and parking area.
Swansea Council planning officers have recommended the revised scheme for approval, subject to several conditions.

The Glamorgan Gwent Archeological Trust said the building — Y Carmel Chapel — was noted as a "post-medieval non-conformist chapel".
The trust said it was characteristic of this part of North Gower and associated with historic division of Gower into separate Welsh and English areas.
The Gower Society said the revised designs looked excellent.
