Mr and Mrs Cann started the cafe at the J Shed in SA1 in April 2007 with a team of 14 staff including several who are still a part of what its founders call "the family".
Mr Cann had spent 38 years working for global IT services company EDS and his wife has a background in hotel management. The duo decided to make the most of their business and catering industry skills and are now reaping the benefits.
Last year they won Swansea Life magazine's coffee culture award.
Mr Cann put the success of the business down to the quality of service and the ambience of the venue.
TwoCann was internally created by Swansea architects The Thomas Parry Design Partnership.
The business also uses local suppliers including Penclawdd butchers Howells, and Olives and Oils in Mumbles.
Mr Cann said: "What tends to happen is people drive past thinking SA1 is a business site.
"In the week it is, but our busiest day is Saturday, and that is when most of the businesses are closed."
Mr and Mrs Cann have now introduced an evening service on Fridays and Saturdays. The couple have also started a loyalty card system for regular customers to clock up two pence for every pound they spend. So far it has attracted around 800 members.
Mr Cann said he was hoping the listing in a national newspaper would attract more people to the area.
He said: "It's fabulous for us to get that recognition. Our business is somewhere between a cafe and a restaurant."
The TwoCann co-founder said it had been important to take a personal approach to the business.
"Myself and my wife are not here every day because we have a great team, but most days one of us is there for some of the day," he added.
TwoCann also sells jewellery sourced from around the world.
