Swansea University's Egypt Centre volunteers rewarded
TWO of Swansea University's Egypt Centre's longstanding young volunteers have been rewarded for their efforts.
Katie Barrowman, aged 17 of Gower, and Amira Rabab, aged 14 of Penlan, earned a Gold Youth University Awards — a nationally recognised accreditation.
Syd Howells, Egypt Centre volunteer manager, said: "This fantastic news is testimony to the commitment of our young volunteers and their work at the Egypt Centre.
"We are very proud of the effort they put in at the museum and actively encourage them to learn as much as they can about the culture and people of ancient Egypt."
