SWANSEA Council has employed 302 young people since May last year.

None of these youngsters, aged 16 to 25, were formally in the care of the council.

The information followed a question by councillors Paul Meara, Mike Day, Cheryl Philpott and Huw Rees.

They wanted to know the numbers employed and how many were in council care.
