Swansea City winger winning his Manchester United fitness battle
PABLO Hernandez is winning his race to face Manchester United this weekend — but Jonathan de Guzman could miss Swansea City's next three matches.
Hernandez has returned to training this week having missed the Europa League games against Malmo with a groin injury.
But the news is not so good for de Guzman, who definitely misses Saturday's Premier League opener after suffering concussion while on international duty.
The midfielder collided with team-mate Dirk Kuyt while training ahead of the Netherlands' friendly with Portugal.
Scans have shown that de Guzman has not suffered a serious injury, but he will be sidelined for between seven and ten days.
He is therefore doubtful for next Thursday's Europa League tie with Petrolul Ploiesti, and he could also be forced to sit out the Premier League trip to Tottenham a week on Sunday.
