Swansea City star Neil Taylor declares himself fit
NEIL Taylor has declared himself fit to make an unexpected return to Swansea City's first team before the end of the season.
The left-back had seemed set to miss the rest of the campaign after shattering his ankle back on September 1.
But Taylor has made a rapid recovery and, after completing his second full game for Swansea's development side in the 3-0 win over Millwall on Monday night, he is hoping for some Premier League action.
"I am now available for whenever the manager feels he needs
me," Taylor told the Swans website.
"Everything is going very well. I played my second 90
minutes for the under-21s on Monday night against Millwall, and I came through that
with no problems.
"There's no date or game I'm particularly looking at,
because I've been out of the game for the past seven months and the boys have
done very well.
"I'm not expecting to be involved straightaway and I won't be rushing things. I've spoken a lot with the gaffer since my injury and
during the recovery process, and he has been happy with how I have come back
from it. But it's up to him whether I'm needed at all before the end of the
Swansea boss Michael Laudrup has indicated that he will give Taylor some game-time in the first team before the end of the season.
