Swansea City star Michel Vorm 'spotted in Barcelona'
SWANSEA City goalkeeper Michel Vorm was spotted in Barcelona this weekend, according to reports in Spain.
The Dutch international star has been touted as a possible Barca target, with the Camp Nou giants on the lookout for a replacement for Victor Valdes.
And Catalan paper Sport claims Vorm was in Barcelona with his family over the weekend.
There have been suggestions in recent months that Vorm, who has also been linked with Arsenal and Liverpool, is on Barca's list of potential goalkeeping recruits with Valdes set to leave at the end of the season.
There is no suggestion, however, that Vorm was in the city to meet with representatives of the football club, and Swansea sources have today played down speculation linking him with the La Liga leaders.
As one of Swansea's international regulars, Vorm is thought to have been given a long weekend off by boss Michael Laudrup.
It seems the 29-year-old took the opportunity to visit Barcelona, but Swansea's followers will hope the trip was nothing more than a mini-break.
Vorm has been consistently impressive for the Liberty Stadium club since his cut-price £1.5 million move from FC Utrecht at the start of last season. He signed a contract extension with Swansea in the autumn.
