Former Swansea City star Lee Trundle leaves Preston
FORMER Swansea City striker Lee Trundle has left Preston North End.
Trundle, whose time at Deepdale was blighted by injury, played his last game for the club on Boxing Day.
Trundle suffered a cartilage injury in pre-season and then a hamstring strain as he stepped up training on his return from injury.
Preston boss Graham Westley said: "Lee is a great lad who has suffered some dreadful luck here. Although he never really played for me, Trunds has been a cracking lad to have around — a true positive influence and a genuinely nice guy."

“Fair comment White Rock and I respect your opinion, Trundle was a media darling and did leave us for his own self gain, which didnt work out.
Like many others who think its a good idea to leave the Swans I can only think of a few who have done well once departed. (Take note existing players & ML)
LT played a vital part at a certain stage in our development and I think he deeply regrets leaving, I am not sure you can knock someone for being popular when doing well, I do understand the annoyance when its not going well and courting the media in the same way.”

“Been following the Swans for more than twenty years. Trundle was a decent League Two/One striker with a talent for self promotion. Nothing more.
The regard in which he continues to be held despite walking out on us on the eve of the season for his own enrichment only to come crawling back when he failed miserably at a higher level remains baffling. The local rags obsession with reporting his every move as if it is relevant to SCFC even more so.”

“White Rock, how long have you followed the Swans? Explain to me how Lee Trundle is a journeyman?
I like to hear how ex players are doing, especially the ones who played a part in getting us where we are today, what has your contribution been?”

“I have absolutely no interest in the comings and goings of a lower league journeyman and (very) minor celebrity who left the club years ago therefore I am thick.
Faultless logic there fella.”
