Swansea City set to allow Danny Graham to sign for Sunderland
SWANSEA City are today set to grant Danny Graham’s wish by selling the striker to Sunderland — provided they can secure a replacement on loan.
Graham has made it clear to the Swansea hierarchy that he wants to leave the Liberty before tonight’s transfer deadline. And though there is interest from a number of clubs including Norwich, Stoke City and Reading, it seems likely that he will join Sunderland.

The deal to take Graham back to his native North East is tipped to be worth somewhere in the region of £5 million.
Boss Michael Laudrup is in no rush to lose the former Watford frontman, and said earlier this week that he wanted him to stay. But with Graham looking to move on, Swansea are ready to do some final-day business.

Kenwyne Jones has been Laudrup’s long-term attacking target, and there is still a chance that he could become available today with Stoke expected to be busy prior to the 11pm deadline.
But it may be that Swansea are forced to look elsewhere for a new centre-forward as they are only chasing a loan deal as a stop-gap until the end of the season. Swansea are determined to ensure they are not left short of options in the remainder of the campaign, so Graham could yet be forced to stay if they cannot bring a player in.
There have been suggestions that Sunderland have offered Swansea their highly-rated teenage forward Connor Wickham on loan for the rest of the season, though it is unclear whether Laudrup would be interested in a player who has not scored a league goal all season.
Reports in Spain, meanwhile, claim Swansea are looking at Oscar Diaz, who plays for Spanish second-tier side Lugo.

“Apologies but the Sunderland move may still prove to be right as Danny has apparently turned down his proposed move to Boro”

“Are you sure about this as other reports are saying the Swans have agreed a fee with Middlesborough ? One thing for certain though is he is on his way out unfortunately.
I have a feeling though that Laudrup is shrewd enough to keep his cards close to his chest and has someone waiting in the wings so I think it may be a case of watch this space !!!! . . . By the way David Villa's odds to joing the Swans yesterday went from 33/1 to 5/1 !”
