Swansea City's Ashley Williams reveals Chico Flores is suffering with derby fever ahead of Cardiff City clash
ASHLEY Williams reckons derby fever has taken over centre-back partner Chico Flores, revealing: "He has been shouting Cardiff all week."
Flores will face the Bluebirds for the first time when Swansea City make the short trip to the Cardiff City Stadium on Sunday.
And though the Spaniard is still getting to grips with the English language, he knows the name of Swansea's old rivals.
"This week we have normally had Chico shouting Cardiff at random times through the morning," Williams explained.
"He just shouts that - he seems quite excited. We don't know exactly what he means, but we don't normally know what he is talking about anyway.
"It just shows that all the boys know how important the game is, whether they have played in the derby before or not."
Williams says he is edging closer to full fitness having made his comeback from an ankle problem last weekend.
And he admits he is relishing the prospect of the first ever Swansea-Cardiff collision in the Premier League.
"There are only three points on offer, but we are fully aware that it means more than that to the people around the city and it is the same for the players," Williams said.
