Former Swansea City player Casey Thomas could make first Afan Lido start against Bangor
FORMER Swansea City midfielder Casey Thomas is in contention to make his first Afan Lido start against Bangor tomorrow (2.30).
Thomas was signed just before the transfer window closed on Monday and came off the bench for Lido's Word Cup win at home to Taffs Well in midweek.
Now he is pushing for a start after making the move from Carmarthen Town.
Thomas, 22, came through the youth ranks at the Liberty and made his professional debut in a 3-0 Championship defeat to Middlesbrough under Paulo Sousa in August 2009.
He went on to spend time on loan at Newport County and Colchester before joining Port Talbot and then the Old Gold.
Lido also made another deadline day signing from Carmarthen with the capture of Ian Hillier.
The Neath-born player was a Wales Under-21 international and spent four years as a trainee at Spurs.
He represented Luton and Chester, then joined Neath and played alongside Lido's recent signing Matthew Rees at Richmond Park last season.
