Swansea City to kick off with Valencia
SWANSEA City will begin the Europa League group stages away at Spanish giants Valencia.
The Swans will face Spain's fifth-best side at the Mestalla on Thursday, September 19.
They then host Swiss side St Gallen on Thursday, October 3, and FC Kuban Krasnodar on Thursday, October 24, before travelling to Russia for the reverse fixture on Thursday, November 7.
The Jack Army will then welcome Valencia to the Liberty on Thursday, November 28 before rounding off the group stages with a visit to Switzerland on Thursday, December 12.
The trip to Spain will see Pablo Hernandez return to his former club, and will be a familiar opponent to the many Spaniards in Swansea's squad. Although many stellar names have left the Mestalla in recent years, including David Villa, Juan Mata and Roberto Soldado, last year's fifth-placed side still boast quality in all departments.
The journey to Russia may prove difficult for the Swans - and the travelling Jack Army. Kuban Krasnodar beat Motherwell and Feyenoord to reach the group stages.
Swiss Super League side St Gallen beat Spartak Moscow in the previous round to make up the group.
