Swansea City end 32Red sponsorship deal a year early
SWANSEA City's shirt sponsors 32Red have reached an agreement to end their contract with the club a year early this summer.
The online betting company have been Swansea's primary sponsors for four years, but they have agreed to forgo their deal for the 2013-14 campaign.

32Red have sponsored Swansea City for four years
32Red signed the initial contract when the Swans were still a Championship club but, having won the Capital One Cup and established themselves a Premier League side, Swansea are now looking to capitalise on their growing stature.
In a joint statement, the Swans explained that the decision had been taken in order to "engage with third parties who may be able to assist in the physical development of the stadium and support the club in its next phase of growth".

32Red's chief executive, Ed Ware, said: "It's been a fantastic relationship with the Swans. Our association has coincided with Swansea City's most successful period ever, so far.
"We will look back on the partnership fondly and wish the club the very best of luck for the future."
Swansea City's vice-chairman, Leigh Dineen, said: "I'd like to place on record the club's enormous thanks for the support that 32Red has given us over the last four years.
"They have been a pleasure to deal with and played an important factor in our progress.
"I feel we have some exciting opportunities in the market place and have agreed to conclude the agreement with 32Red one year early and on friendly terms."

“What would you have preferred White Rock?
The Tesco Stadium? Peters Pie Arena?
I am open to hear what the other options were and don't forget a certain rival tried to find a Stadium Sponsor and failed, despite them being in the Championship whilst our deal came when we were much lower in the league.”

“"we got off lucky that Swansea had a company with £500,000 to spare and also had a great company name that lent itself so well to a sponsorship deal"
Lucky that despite a lengthy and expensive search the best offer was allegedly from a company with strong links to the Ospreys?”

“Hacker, the Liberty deal ran out a few years ago. It was a five year deal signed in 2005. As much as it is free advertising, that stadium is very much the Liberty Stadium now. Because it is such a good word for a stadium name, it is even well known around the UK as well.... we got off lucky that Swansea had a company with £500,000 to spare and also had a great company name that lent itself so well to a sponsorship deal.
I don't think the stadium will be renamed.”

“The Liberty deal still has quite some time to run so stadium naming rights won't be on the table.”

“Hope the new sponsor/Stadium sponsor isn't some embarrasing product name :-)
Though if they're paying fo the Stadium expansion, and want their name emblazoned all over the new stands, I guess we'll have to accept what we receive!
Samsung/Hyandai?
or Peters Pies :-)”
