Sources in Spain claim Swansea have offered one million euros for Jose Canas
A defensive midfielder, Canas came through the youth ranks at Betis where he has gone on to make more than 100 appearances, scoring one goal.
The 25-year-old has played 15 La Liga games this season for a Betis side who are chasing a Europa League spot. But financial pressures in Spain may force the Seville side to sell.

Canas made his first-team debut in 2009 in a 2-0 home loss against Atletico Madrid late in a season that ended with Betis relegated from La Liga.
He was included in Betis's main squad for the 2010-2011 campaign as they returned to the top flight after winning the second tier.
Should he sign, Canas will further strengthen Swansea's holding midfield options.
Leon Britton, Ki Sung-Yueng and Kemy Agustien have all been deployed in that position this season, as has Mark Gower.
But the former Southend man has not played a first-team game since September.
