Five Swans star in Wales Under-21s squad
FIT-AGAIN midfielder Joe Allen is one of five Swansea City players included in the Wales Under-21s squad to play Bosnia Herzegovina in a Euro 2011 qualifier next month.
Jazz Richards, Casey Thomas, David Cornell and Shaun MacDonald — currently on loan at Yeovil — are also named in the initial 27-man group, meaning Swansea are again the best represented club.
That number will then be trimmed to 20 ahead of the match in Sarajevo on November 18.
Allen returned from a hamstring injury at West Bromwich Albion 10 days ago and last represented his country as an 80th-minute substitute in May's senior international friendly win against Estonia.
Brian Flynn's side currently top qualifying group four with four wins and a draw from their opening five games.
Play-off
Another victory would take them a step closer to winning the group and progressing to a play-off for a place in the Denmark finals in two years' time.
Wales Under-21s squad: David Cornell, Chris Maxwell, Darcy Blake, Neal Eardley, Gareth Bale, Chris Gunter, Adam Matthews, Aaron Morris, Lewin Nyatanga, Christian Ribeiro, Jazz Richards, Neil Taylor, James Wilson, Joe Allen, Billy Bodin, Mark Bradley, Jack Collison, Andy King, Shaun MacDonald, Joe Partington, Aaron Ramsey, Elliott Chamberlain, Simon Church, Ched Evans, Casey Thomas, Sam Vokes, Marc Williams.
Meanwhile, four Swansea players are in the Wales Under-19s squad to face Spain, Portugal and Macedonia next month and a further two are on the stand-by list.
David Cornell, Daniel Alfei, Lee Lucas and Jazz Richards have made Brian's Flynn's 18-man group, while Rhys Wilson and Joe Walsh are being held in reserve.
