INSPIRED by the Swans' Carling Cup clash with Cardiff, Kev Johns penned this poem, in the style of Grinch author - Dr Zeuss:

They came in their hundreds and all came by bus, but when we saw them we thought why such a fuss

Tall, short, some fat, some clever, some nerds, all travelling together, the Cardiff Bluebirds.

Some buses were old but all buses were blue, Faces shone with wonder at the stadium so new,

Its not like our place said one, said all, but they do have to share with the oval ball

I wish this place was our's said one with a groan, but I wouldn't be Cardiff if I didn't moan.

So into the ground they call the Liberty to the glorious sound of the black and white army.

They didn't stop moaning, Bluebirds Pete, Mike and Jeff and as usual they blamed all on the Ref.

But one thing we knew, that a Swans goal would come and when Gomez scored we had them on the run.

The game was all over and we went home to our beds with songs of the Swans ringing in our heads.

And in the morning, when we get up, cheer one, cheer all, we're still in the cup.
