Surgery appeal snub
A SWANSEA Valley dentist has lost his appeal against Swansea Council's decision not to allow him planning permission to build a new surgery.
Dr Ian Smillie was unhappy at being told he could not build the facility on land to the rear of 28 Vardre Road, Clydach.
After considering the matter, Welsh Government inspector Siân Worden sided with the council, saying: "The proposed development would harm the character and appearance of the surrounding area."
