THE CASE of a heart surgeon accused of outraging public decency has been adjourned.

Dr Ahmed Abdelgawad, 35, was due to appear at Swansea Magistrates' Court for the case to be committed to the crown court.

Abdelgawad, previously of Rhodfa'r Dryw, Cwmrhydyceiw, faces a single charge of outraging public decency by behaving in an indecent matter by looking up a female's skirt, without her consent while lying on the floor on May 21. Abdelgawad has worked for ABM Health Authority but has now been suspended by the General Medical Council.

He has chosen for his case to be heard at the crown court.
