June 12: ESCAPE Into The Park. More than 20,000 revellers flocked to last year's event, and the 2010 version will be even more special — as it celebrates its tenth birthday.

The cream of the UK dance scene will be in attendance, including Above and Beyond, Steve Angello, Scratch Perverts, Judge Jules, Lisa Lashes, Tidy Boys, DJ Sy, Mark EG, Andy C, Hype, Friction and Micky Slim.

August 7: IML Summer Sessions One Big 1980s Party with Tony Hadley, Bananarama, ABC, Go West and Mica Paris. All roads will lead to Singleton Park for those to whom the 1980s music scene was special. Tony Hadley will be raring to go after the Spandau Ballet reunion world tour and will be joined on stage by other multi-million selling artists from that era. They will be playing not just songs from their massive repertoire of hit records, but also performing specially chosen duets and collaborations.

August 8: Jools Holland and His Rhythm and Blues Orchestra, with Alison Moyet and Ruby Turner.

The boogie-woogie maestro will be making his first appearance in Swansea since 1999, aided by his 17-piece band and special guests. A firework finale is promised at 10.30pm.

September 11: Proms in the Park. Swansea's contribution to the Last Night of the Proms will feature Wales's own world-class conductor Grant Llewellyn, with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales adding their sound to the festivities.

Other artists and presenters are due to be announced soon for an event which encourages the massed throng to turn up with picnic hampers, chairs and tables.
