Stranded duo saved by mobile
A MOBILE phone proved vital in saving the lives of two men whose boat capsized in the early hours of the morning.
The pair suffered problems when their 17-foot angling boat hit a sandbank, leading the vessel to overturn in the Burry Estuary.
Their kit, including their radio, sunk in the incident yesterday.
A spokesman for the coastguard said the mobile phone proved to be a real life-saver for the pair.
He said: "They were very, very lucky. The phone helped to save their lives."
