AROUND 30 new jobs are on their way to Port Talbot.

The jobs will be at a Family Bargains store which is opening at Baglan Bay Retail Park on September 20.

The premises was previously a Focus store which closed down.

The shop is part of the 99p Stores Group which also recently opened up a 99p shop at The Aberafan Shopping Centre in Port Talbot last spring.

Boss Hussein Lalani said: "Our new family of customers at our Port Talbot 99p Stores have recently been saying that as well as single price 99p value products they want value for all ranges of products.

"We thank them very much for this and are now delighted to oblige."

Aberavon AM David Rees yesterday gave the thumbs- up to the new jobs.

"I welcome the new jobs that are coming to Port Talbot," he said.

"It is another sign that the town is open for business and I hope it indicates to other retailers that it is a good place to do business."
