Stop plans – save energy!
I WOULD like to agree with John Childs on his wishes for further energy efficiency, "Let's open up energy debate" (Have your say, October 12).
Perhaps we could start by canceling the 7,500 plus new homes proposed in the Gorseinon, Gowerton and Loughor areas (concern over estuary at 7,500 new homes proposed, article September 24), where roads are already gridlocked (near B&Q in Gorseinon and outside the Harvester in Gowerton), where a new school is also proposed on the Elba playing fields on the same road and opposite the present sewage works (notably already overloaded) and close to a cockle industry in peril.
As far as his comments concerning industrialised offshore wind turbines I couldn't agree more.
They are indeed getting a bit stale and boring.
The Atlantic Array is in the wrong place and should be, as its name suggests, in the Atlantic.
