Stop menace hitting A&E
EVERYONE must share concern over the escalation in the use of drugs, such as meow meow in our beautiful country.
Specifically, the unnecessary overloading of services in A & E units which were created for use by people sustaining accidental injury or a sudden reduction in the normal everyday quality of health.
-

I'm convinced the A&E was not created for the dubious benefits of the selfish moronic users of so-called pleasure seeking substances and their avoidable self-inflicted health damage.
In many cases this has led to death, but the end result nearly always end up creating havoc to everyone around by uncontrolled aggression, particularly during visits to A&E units where the staff and fabric suffer from the drug-charged unappreciative "patient". When it is clear the "patient" is sufficiently affluent to afford drugs or an endless flow of alcohol, they should be charged fully for the treatment and services received at A&E and subsequent follow up treatment.

The thoughtless behaviour of these drug and alcohol infused people cause delay and avoidable suffering to the genuine patients attending A&E and depriving them of a speedier treatment.
The Assembly Government which controls the administration of health services in Wales has the power to administer charges for the misuse of A&E services but do they have the determination to plug this drain of the financial resource of the Welsh NHS.
Take courage, act responsibly — act sooner, not later.

“Absolutely! I could not agree more with this letter - trouble is, no one will take any notice and drug users will still command the full attention of A&E services because of 'human rights'. Sadly, the so-called 'human rights' of the unfortunate people who attend A&E through no fault of their own are often pushed to the back of the queue whilst overworked hospital staff deal with drug/alcohol cases.”
