A MAN who behaved in a 'startled' manner after spotting a police car driving through town was found to have heroin on him.

Adam Crocker, aged 22, "began behaving in an agitated manner", Swansea magistrates were told, when he saw officers as he stood on George Street on August 18.

After being searched, officers discovered a bag of heroin on him said to contain 0.2 grams, although Crocker, of Dyfed Avenue, Townhill, disputed the amount in court.

Mitigating, Nick Devonald said: "He accepts he had it, but it was an item that had been there for some time and he had forgotten he had it. He was with a young lady who was drinking from a can, and he was attempting to help and steady her."
