SIR Paul McCartney paid tribute to the other "three boys" in the Beatles as he unveiled his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The rocker was introduced to a crowd of fans in Los Angeles by Neil Young at a ceremony in front of the Capitol Records building.

Sir Paul said: "Way back in history, in Liverpool when we were kids and we were listening to Buddy Holly and all the rock 'n' roll greats, I would have never thought that the day would come when I'd be getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

"I couldn't have done it certainly without three boys so I want to say thanks to those guys, John, George and Ringo."
