RUGBY stars have helped raise money for research into motor neurone disease.

Pundit Sean Holley, former British Lion Rob Jones and referee Nigel Whitehouse were among the speakers at the event at Llanrhidian Holiday Park in Gower last Saturday.

The event also included a talk from consultant neurologist Richard Weiser and a performance from comedian Andy Judd.

Around £4,300 was raised for the Heaton-Ellis Trust, which funds research at King's College, London.
